Gary Moore of Journey Moore Often, Ltd and Matthew Smith have teamed up to create the “The Tipsy Tagalongs Podcast Series” working under Journey Moore Often. The focus of the podcast will be to promote primarily local businesses that are wineries, breweries, and/or distilleries.

2022-11-14 Tipsy Tagalongs Introductory Podcast (currently in edit) – in the JMO studio, Matt Smith and Gary Moore have a casual conversation about what the initial focus of Tipsy Tagalongs will be. For starters, they discuss their background on why “us”, how they met along with why it is called Tipsy Tagalongs. The next thing they discuss what Tipsy Tagalongs Podcast will be doing on location. Initially focusing on locations within Philadelphia and its suburbs, presenting what listeners/viewers should expect at each podcast. Finally they talked about all the places they’ve contacted are interested in having Tipsy Tagalongs, which include wine tastings and special events to be advertised as things progress.
2023-01-21 Tipsy Tagalongs and American Wine Journey – What to Look for in a Wine and How to Taste Wine (download from FB live) – In this joint podcast, Ben Cody (American Wine Journey) and Gary Moore (Journey Moore Often, Tipsy Tagalongs) walk through what to look for in a wine – how different grapes affect the taste (red vs. white), the difference between aging containers (concrete steel, and oak – French/American/Belgium oak), environmental factors (temperature, light, air quality, etc., and how they can change taste and perception, oak used for whiskey/bourbon, etc., then finishing wine), aspects of taste (dry, smooth, full bodied, etc.), description of taste (leather, earthy, oaky, clean, citrus, etc.), and how initial taste, smell, the taste as you experience it and the finish affect your perception of a wine. Unfortunately Matt Smith could not participate due to rescheduling.

At the General Admission, 1400+ people showed up in 34° weather to sample some of the regions best brewery creations and 60+breweries helped make that happen! Join Matt and Gary as they do a distilled tasting at Brandywine Branch Bistro and discuss with Cheryl O’Neill how they make the magic happen! Here, we’ll sampling distilled liquor, along with some of their special drinks and food.
