Hey everybody!
In 2022, we decided to start our own podcasts! Journey Moore Often, Tipsy Tagalongs, and American Wine Journey teamed up on podcasts for several reasons.
Our goal is our slogan. Enjoy Life, Journey Moore Often.
Podcasts are the perfect setting for people to discover new and exciting journeys throughout the world, and quite often, in their own backyard. The best part about our sharing, is for the most part we are normal people doing normal traveling.
To find out you have The Ancient Spanish Monastery (click here for written article) in downtown Miami, or Stonehenge (click here for written article) in wine country in southwestern Washington State, only an hour and a half from either Portland, OR, or Yakima, WA. Perhaps you want to know how to look for that really cool dedicated bike path in your city like Newark, DE (click here for written article).
Or, if you’re new to traveling, to discover other new ideas – as scenarios are presented from our experience so you don’t have to “reinvent the wheel”.
Obviously, the spoken word can be much more powerful and communicative than the written word accompanied by pictures. Greater information and more details can be provided while sharing our journeys we’ve experienced in places we travel. With video, the stories take on additional value allowing the viewer to capture more “flavor”.
As we describe our journey and the things we experienced on that journey, those listening and viewing will capture a better understanding of what we’ve experienced. Events like our Tuscan Wine Tasting (click Part I and Part II for written articles), or when Gary was awakened in the middle of the night in the Temple Bar District in Dublin to someone loudly running across the Millennium Bridge footbridge, which crosses the River Liffey.
There are numerous times when we at JMO are onsite at different places. Highlighting these experiences along our journeys offer the opportunity to share live what we are experiencing.
Sometimes it will be live on social media, then downloaded later. The Aareschlucht Gorge (click here for our live FB broadcast) hike is a perfect example. We hiked a 1 mile gorge and did it live. We also recorded a podcast live in Basil, Switzerland where the France, Germany and Swiss borders meet up on the Rhine River.
Other times we will be recording our live event, then posting it later.
Who ever gets to “fourthly”?
Informational stuff is important!!
No one wants to discover at the airport that their passport is about to expire. Or worse, customs officials will not let you fly out of your country because your passport is expiring soon? Or finding out when you get there that you don’t have the correct adaptor for the country you touring? In our JMO Travel Documents Podcast, we discuss that and other practical issues with documents when flying both domestically and internationally.
These are mostly for folks who would like a little bit more understanding of what they need and to be prepared for where they are going.
These podcasts will contain information like the previously mentioned travel documentation podcast, but will also entertain subjects like travel accessories, how to travel with friends, using credit card points, and other topics to allow you the listener to benefit from our experiences.
Podcasts offer us an opportunity to highlight others and their experiences. These podcasts will feature other people, their histories, events and such.
We’ve already started the American Wine Journey Podcast Series. It is a series within the Journey Moore Often Podcasts where 1723 Vineyards co-owner Ben Cody and Gary Moore of JMO are the hosts for this series within a series. The American Wine Journey Series is bringing the history of wine in the Americas. Other topics include vineyard sustainability and the current issues facing wineries, what makes a good wine, etc., in other words
Then you’ll have The Tipsy Tagalongs Podcast Series. It’ll be co-hosted by Matt Smith and Gary Moore of JMO. This series comprises restaurants/bars, wine tasting rooms, craft brews, distilleries, currently focusing in Philadelphia and its suburbs. Almost exclusively we will be focusing on locally owned establishments that have unique alcoholic offerings.
Finally, our goal is to help you – Enjoy Life, Journey Moore Often!
