Well…we’re getting closer to opening this envelope that contains the list of items for the Journey Moore Often Scavenger Hunt – Pandemic Search©!
If you’re looking to get a fun break from your Cabin Fever and Social Distancing, then this is the event you’ve been waiting for! This event will definitely allow you to Journey Moore Often outside your home while staying inside your home, you need to give this a shot!
We’re also putting together a Facebook event. This is for those who aren’t playing but would still like to watch can do so live. Once the participants have gotten started, we’ll post the list of search items for you to follow along. Keep in mind though, there will only be 12 officially registered participants will be playing. Everyone can still play independently, just not officially compete.
We have nailed down a few things like registration, the entrance fee, the list of items, rules and regulations, a disclaimer, dates & times, and a prize!
We need to register everyone who participates. The reason it’s important is that each person has to be properly vetted for age and officially logged in. Registration will require some basic information.

For the Pandemic Search Scavenger Hunt, there is NO ENTRANCE FEE!
Yep, that’s right. Since we’re still learning we figured it would be a simpler and great way for all of us to introduce ourselves to each other.
As things start to take off, for future scavenger hunts, there may be an entrance fee. That will also most likely be accompanied with larger prizes!
You didn’t think we were actually going to post the list ahead of time, did you?
There are currently 20 listed items on the Pandemic Search scavenger hunt list. As stated above, the envelope will be opened at the start of the scavenger hunt for participants first, then for viewers. What will we be looking for?

Each point is worth 10 points. Each item will be judged according to the individual participant’s submission of those items. Incomplete responses will result in no points for any given listed item. Some items will yield points to only 1 participant, based on the confirmed responses of all the participants.
In case anyone is wondering, in the unlikely occurrence two participants have the same exact score, JMO does have a method for breaking any ties that may present themselves. If required, tie breakers will be revealed at the time of the hunt.
You know the drill. Gotta protect you, and gotta protect us.
All the legalize can be found using the following link – 2020-01 Pandemic Search Scavenger Hunt Official Rules, Disclaimers, & Waivers Document.
Without the legal stuff, people won’t know how to play against each other. Plus, there are requirements that everyone needs to follow. Small little things like laws and other government requirements.
We hate to do it, but in today’s world rules, regulations, disclaimers, and waivers are absolutely necessary. As such, participants will be required to sign off that they’ve read, understand, and declare to abide by the full document. That’s part of the reason folks have to be 18 and over. Future scavenger hunts may include alcohol, so don’t be surprised if the age rises to 21 years old for a minimum.
Participants will be required to register to apply for the to sign the full document prior to the start of the event.
Last date to sign up will be the night before the event, May 22, 2020 at midnight.
The Pandemic Search Scavenger Hunt is scheduled to occur on May 23, 2020. Don’t worry, it’s likely many of us will still have a fair amount of restrictions. The hunt is tentatively set to the following schedule:
14:45 (2:45pm) – Discussion, answer last minute questions
15:00 (3:00pm) – The hunt begins!
16:00 (4:00pm) – The hunt ends and the submittals are no longer accepted.
16:30 (4:30pm) or shortly thereafter – The winner is announced!
We’re just getting started, but we thought it would be fun to throw in a $50 gift card (to the winner only of course) for an incentive to play. We know it doesn’t rival that sweet $1200 check that those in the US may be receiving, but hey, it’s still a little something, right?
