Recently we attended an event hosted by one of our area’s orchards, Highland Orchards. On this particular day we were attending the Peach and Brew Festival. The festival is like having a county fair in your backyard. As soon as you pull in, there are plenty of signs and guides to assist in where and how to park.
There were many family family friendly activities, a corral with goats, see-saws, swings, a small train, and a shuttle that gives folks a tour of the orchards.

Food to Eat
A variety of food trucks were present offering a variety of lunch menus. From left to right as we faced them, The Plum Pit (Aston), Ole Tapas, Southbound BBQ Co (West Chester), and Vida BYOB (Havertown).

There were even a few desserts available with Pelican Snowballs, cupcakes, and popsicles.

Adult Beverages
There was a cordoned off section where adults were able to taste alcoholic beverages. In attendence were distilled liquors by Manatawny Still Works (Pottstown), cider by Dressler Estate (Downingtown), and beer by Suburban Brewery (Honeybrook), all local!
For this event, we chose to focus on Manatawny Still Works.
Max and Emily of Manatawny Still Works were very cordial and explained the different tastings that complimented some very tasty whiskey. A few even included honey from our local beekeeper Walt with his Swarmbustin’ Honey ( West Grove).

Music
Music was provided by Moondawgs, couple Paul and Sue McKenna, playing soft folk style music. Their set was a mix of classics and more recent songs that you may hear on the radio today.
4 Paws Rescue had a booth there in the middle, along with a number of local artisans.
All in all, great event, well organized, lots to see, plenty to do, plenty to eat.
