We’ve been to Twelves Grill & Cafe quite a few times and have always enjoyed a delicious meal. We specifically made a point to have dinner there on August 7, 2018 because they were supporting the Southern Chester County Regional Police Department. We also made a reservation ahead of time, because even on a Tuesday night, we knew they’d be pretty busy.
In it’s 12 year of operation, Twelves was the brain child of Tim and Kristin Smith. It’s name originated because they were both born on the 12th day of the month, married on the 12th, and opened Twelves on the 12th.
Twelves was originally the National Bank of West Grove, built in the 1800s by local businessmen Joseph Pyle and Samuel Kent. What used to be a bank has been renovated to accommodate a good sized dinner crowd, including some seats outside. One of the original bank vault doors continues to be a presence inside the restaurant. There’s plenty of parking near Twelves as well as side streets within a reasonable walking distance.
One of the things they are well known for is good food and good service. With Executive Chef Tim Smith, the food has been top shelf from the beginning.

Some places you just don’t want to miss the soups, and Twelves is one of them. Their soups are flavorful and two of our particular favorites are lobster bisque and mushroom.

The entrees were cooked to perfection, we had Crab Cake and Lemon Grilled Tiger Shrimp.
And then there was dessert, oh my. One of us had the Chocolate Salted Caramel Mousse Cake and the other had the Warm Brown Sugar Walnut Pound Cake. Can you guess who picked which?
