What is a journey? While it can be, it doesn’t have to be spending months in a Tibetan Monastery or hiking the entire Appalachian Trail, it can be as simple as finding and enjoying a local gem to experience.
We all yearn to journey in some fashion, but often we don’t know how, or perhaps the best way. Journey doesn’t have to be traveling to some exotic international location, it can be finding those hidden treasures in our own backyard. It’s simply a question of setting a goal for our journey and striving to reach it.
We have created this website along with our FB page, (Journey Moore Often), simply to share our journey experiences in an effort to allow readers who would like to venture out, but aren’t quite sure how, the ability to avoid some of the pitfalls of travel, but perhaps more importantly, to greater enjoy their journey wherever that may be.
As we go along, we’ll be sharing personal stories on our website, and anecdotes that have relevance.
Of course, some of us may just like to hear about the journeys of others, with no intention of venturing very far at all. We certainly enjoy seeing the pictures and comments others post on their journeys, whether it be here in the US or abroad.
While we are admittedly far from experts on this subject, we have found that there’s value in documenting a journey and allowing others to benefit from whatever information we have gleaned to make their journey more fruitful and smoother.
Some things we propose, state, or share, may seem basic to some, yet revelatory to others. The important point is to consider how even the smallest of details can serve to maximize the pleasure of our experience through the journey.
By trial and error, we’ve found things that work, things that don’t, and have even found things that work in some areas, but not in others. Each journey we take pushes us that much further to better understanding the nuances of the next journey we seek, enhancing each subsequent experience.
Our intention with this blog is to encourage, assist, and offer things we’ve learned to make your journey a better one, and although we will warn and inform our readers of potential hazards to look for, one of the things you won’t see in our blogging is calling out individual people or specific organizations with respect to negative situations we’ve encountered.
